Policies

Time

Billable time begins when Nancy arrives at your home and stops when she walks out the door.

You and Nancy will spend the last 15 minutes of the session to wrap up and allow time for payment and scheduling future sessions.

Phone coaching billable time begins when you say "Hello" to Nancy.

Time is billed in 15-minute increments.

Fees

Payment may be made by check (payable to Harmony at Home Organizing), money order, or cash.  In come circumstances, credit cards are accepted.  There will be a $50 charge for any checks returned for insufficient funds, as well as additional collection of any overdraft charges.

Charitable Donations

Items gathered during sessions with Nancy that fit into her vehicle will be drop off to the charity of Nancy's choice.  Following the drop off she'll mail you a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.   The client is responsible for noting the details of what was donated.

Appointment Reminders

The client is responsible for keeping track of scheduled appointments times.  Reminder calls will not be made prior to scheduled appointments.

Cancellations

If a client finds it necessary to cancel a scheduled session, the cancellation must be made at least 48 hours from the time of the appointment.  If an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice a $100 fee will be charged.  Under extenuating circumstances, at Nancy's discretion, that fee may be waived.

Working Environment

The client is required (under most circumstances) to be present at the organizing session and to assist with the process.  It is important for the client and Nancy to be able to be focussed during the session such that the client is expected to make arrangements for childcare, handling incoming phone calls, pet management, and redirecting visitors so that organizing sessions are not interrupted.  A productive work environment is necessary to provide the client the best return on their time and money well spent.

Smoking

No smoking is allowed during organizing sessions.  If a strong odor of smoke exists in the home it is expected the windows or doors can be opened to allow for proper ventilation.

Confidentiality

All client information, both business and personal will be kept confidential.  Nancy will obtain clients permission prior to using any proprietary information in lectures, promotion, writing or for any other purpose. As a Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization® and member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization and the National Association of Professional Organizers she is required to adhere to their Code of Ethics.
